From the Principal
Springfield School serves approximately 400 pre-kindergarten through sixth grade students. Our school community focuses on providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages life-long learning while providing a challenging education. Students are guided to develop positive social skills to encourage their growth as productive and responsible citizens. The teachers at Springfield are dedicated professionals who work hard to ensure a positive and supportive environment for every student. We strive to develop a partnership with our families to ensure the best education for our students.
We would like to welcome back the Springfield students and wish everyone a Happy 2015!
As the weather turns even colder, it is important that students come dressed for the weather. Please encourage your children to wear hats, gloves, and a winter coat to school.
When the weather is bad or the temperature is very cold, the students are able to enter the building as they arrive. With this in mind, please drop your children off at the usual time. The school day begins at 8:20am and students who are late to class are missing out on valuable instruction.
3-5th grade students are encouraged to sign up for Snowflurries. This self-esteem day will be held at Central Park on Saturday, February 7, at 9:30am.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on February 12 from 1-3pm and 4-7pm. There is no school for students February 12 or February 13 in observance of President's Day.
The next parent group meeting will be held Wednesday, March 18, at 9:30am. Please visit the Parent Group’s Facebook page: MSD 143 – Springfield School.
Don't forget that every Tuesday is Springfield Night at Kenootz Pizzeria. Just mention Springfield School when you order and 25% of your sale comes back to our school.
Please go to the Midlothian School District 143 REGISTRATION page for all of the details.
